Hello, I’m Damla Yanıkkol İşler. After graduating first in my class from the Psychology undergraduate program at Ankara University in 2012, I completed my master’s degree in the Clinical Psychology Department at the same university. During my graduate education, I conducted therapy sessions under supervision using the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach. In 2014, I began working at various institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Family and Social Policies, where I had the opportunity to work with elderly individuals in residential care, families experiencing socio-economic hardship, and children in need of protection who had undergone various traumatic experiences. The experience I gained in the field, along with the training I received, provided me with the competence to evaluate individuals’ inner worlds from a multidimensional perspective and to develop a holistic therapeutic approach tailored to each person.
I have been living in Germany for about three years and provide online services to my clients. Both professionally and personally, I know closely that being an immigrant is not merely a physical relocation; it also brings many experiences related to identity, belonging, cultural adaptation, language, and emotions.
I offer online counseling in areas such as migration-related difficulties, adjustment problems, anxiety, depression, loss and grief, stress, anger issues, family boundaries and communication problems, birth-related challenges (both prenatal and postpartum), personality disorders, and relationship problems. I also provide parental counseling, working together with parents to find solutions to the challenges they face in the parenting process.
I would be pleased to accompany you on your journey toward a psychological counseling process that proceeds without judgment, and within an atmosphere of trust and confidentiality.
